I initially had cold feet, but my manager at VMware encouraged me to get outside of my comfort zone and agree to do this interview with KellyAnn Fitzpatrick and Kate Holterhoff at The Docs Are In. I’m very glad I did! It turned out to be a fun experience, so I’d like to share the video we made.

In this episode, I discuss how to empower folks who are not technical writers to produce effective documentation (while teaching them about tech writing along the way), and how to make open source “sticky” by helping contributors to get started with projects while also creating supportive communities around them.
